Pavacachi Amazon Rainforest Photographic Species Lists
Pavacachi is a remote location in the Amazon Rainforest and as such has an increadible amount of biodiversity. Earth Sessions is taking the idea of a species list one step further with a photographic species list. All the photos below were taken in Pavacachi on Earth Sessions Expeditions. The lists below are a long way from being complete species lists for the area but represent those we have photographed so far and we will be adding to them as expeditions continue over the following years.
Over 500 species of bird have been recorded in Pavacachi. Below are those that have so far been photographed on Earth Sessions expeditions, divided into broad groups
Raptors
Forest birds
Waterside Birds
Pavacachi mammal species
Mammal are probably more affected by hunting and habitat destruction than any other group of animals. Because of this many of the less remote areas of the Amazon have a very much reduced variety of mammals. Pavacachi however still provides home to a huge wealth of mammals.
