Grounding in the Garden Wellness Event was brought to you by Earth Sessions + Arlington Garden in Pasadena featuring all women of color practitioners.  With over 50 attendees this event felt like a dream + a much needed opportunity to exhale, sit together, and take a moment to connect with the earth. 

Highlights of the event included 🫧Sound Bath by Napualani Hall,  ✨Reiki by Tina Uyeno & Wainani Paikai, 🍵 Matcha Tea Ceremony by Daily Whisk, 🌀Sharing Circle by Leah Thomas + Kiana Kazemi, and closing with a 🌱Group Oracle Reading by Wainani Paikai.

So much gratitude to the new found connections and community building to the folks in Los Angeles.

Earth Sessions hosted our largest event so far with a Climate Week Concert + EcoFestival sponsored by our friends Waverley Street Foundation + Pinterest. Featuring musical performances, speakers, tabling activations and giveaways! It was a great introductory event to Climate Week as 60% (295) of our attendees indicated this was their FIRST Climate Week Event EVER! 

🎤 Highlights of the event included musical performances by EarthGang, Dianna Lopez, Gaia Music Collective, and Antonique Smith. We also heard from speakers Kinsale Drake, Kofi Thomas, Wawa Gatheru, Charitie Ropati, Isaias Hernandez, Aditi Mayer, Leah Thomas, Kiana Kazemi, Kalpana Arias, Gianna Lum, and Josh Nodiff

We gave away 📚 over 200 FREE books 📚, 🎨and had tabling from grassroots organizations such as Black Girl Environmentalist, Glitch, One Up Action, Climate Cafe NYC + Climate Imaginarium. We also had an upcycling station hosted by Sustainable Baddie and Climate Cafe NYC, Customized Poetry Station by Climate Cafe NYC, and Digital collages by Pinterest + Nest.

Thank you for being a part of ✨Art to Earth Market✨, a collaboration between Earth Sessions and Here's To You, a creative lifestyle brand built for all skill levels of artists to harness their creativity through branded events, content and products. We highlighted local creatives who incorporate land and environmental justice into their art. 🌱🎨

🎤 During the event, attendees enjoyed a performance by Mato Wayuhi, insightful remarks from IE founder Leah Thomas, and engaging discussions with Naiomi & Tyler Glasses, Diandra Marizet, and Hub Oberly.

We also distributed 📚 50 FREE books 📚 and showcased the artwork of talented local Indigenous artists.

Last month @earthsessions.ie was brought to @occidentalcollege @oxy.socc in LA with a free book giveaway, free food and drinks from local businesses, a music performance by the college’s own @alyssaplayer, and a panel discussing radically imagining a just future for environmentalism. 🫶🏼✨
